On August 17, 2008, Stage Turner presented "A Many-Splendored Thing" (Love Stories) at Leland's Old Art Building. The third performance of our third summer season featured Guest Artist-in-Residence Susan Fay, Tom Czarny, Maria McKane, Phil Murphy, and Anne-Marie Oomen, and Norm Wheeler.

On June 15, 2008, Stage Turner presented "Pencils Down!" (School Stories) at Leland's Old Art Building. The first performance of our third summer season featured Guest Author and Newbery and Edgar awards' winner, Richard Peck. Readers were Guest Artist-in-Residence Susan Fay, Tom Czarny, Laura Ames Mittelstaedt, Phil Murphy, and Anne-Marie Oomen, and Peck.

On August 19, 2007, Stage Turner presented "Are We There Yet?" (Travel Stories) at Leland's Old Art Building. Our largest audience yet saw and heard readings by Tom Czarny, Bill Dunjen, Susan Fay, Jill McFarlane, Maria McKane, and Phil Murray as well as a special cello performance by Debra Fayroian.

On June 17, 2007, Stage Turner presented "Thicker Than Water" (Family Stories) at Leland's Old Art Building. The first performance of our second summer season featured readings by Visiting Artist Rob Carpenter, Guest Artist-in-Residence Susan Fay, Phil Murphy, Anne-Marie Oomen, and Norm Wheeler.
Martha Ryan was our Foley Artist.

On August 20, 2006, Stage Turner presented "Half-Baked and Hard-Boiled" to another sold-out crowd at Leland's Old Art Building. The final performance of our first summer season featured readings by (left to right) Anne-Marie Oomen, Visiting Artist Caroline Allport, Visiting Artist Susan Fay, Norm Wheeler, Phil Murphy, and Tom Czarny. They read nine stories about cooking and eating...from delicious tidbits to
hard-to-swallow stories.

On July 23, 2006, Stage Turner presented "Up North and Personal" at Leland's Old Art Building. The evening featured readings by Visiting Artist Susan Fay and Visiting Artist McAdoo Greer, Al Lien, Phil Murphy and Anne-Marie Oomen. They read seven short stories based in Michigan including two works by local writers, Anne Marie-Oomen ("Water Jugs") and Robert Underhill ("If You've Seen One Bird").

On June 25, 2006, Stage Turner presented "The Year of the Dog" at the historic Old Art Building in Leland, Michigan. Our second "sold-out" evening featured staged readings of six great contemporary and classic short stories. The audience enjoyed performances by Karen Cross, Tom Czarny, Al Lien, Norm Wheeler,
and Cait Watkins.


Love On The Rocks With A Twist

On February 11, 2006, Stage Turner presented "Love On the Rocks With a Twist" at the historic Old Art Building in Leland, Michigan. This exciting, "sold-out" evening featured staged readings of six great contemporary and classic short stories about the quirky and ironic nature of love.

The audience enjoyed performances by Tom Czarny, Phil Murphy, Lesley Alicia Tye, Norm Wheeler, and Visiting Artist McAdoo Greer. A festive wine and hors d'oeuvres party followed this special kick-off event.
